Leaf it Alone 2 Release Date

Last updated: November 2, 2026

There is no Leaf it Alone 2 release date, because developer Eternity has not announced a sequel. Instead, the free Update 1.1 launched on October 30, 2026, adding two new maps, Castle and Sakura, to the original game. Pages offering a "Leaf it Alone 2" download or browser game are unofficial.

Has Leaf it Alone 2 Been Announced?

No. We checked every official Steam news post from September 2025 to October 2026, and none mention a sequel. A Steam store search for Leaf it Alone returns only the original game.

Eternity chose to add new content into the existing game. In February 2026 the developers said there would be no new map, then revealed there would actually be two. Those two maps arrived in Update 1.1.

What Update 1.1 Added

Update 1.1 released on the game's first anniversary, October 30, 2026. It is free for everyone who already owns the game, and old saves stay compatible. The launch came with a 50% discount for new players.

  • Two new maps: Castle and Sakura.
  • About 500,000 leaves across all maps combined.
  • New achievements for each map, for 54 in total.
  • Custom Mode, a New Game+ with adjustable rules.
  • Input rebinding for keyboard and gamepad.
  • A built-in speedrun timer and new accessibility options.

Beware of Fake Leaf it Alone 2 Sites

Some websites host browser games called Leaf It Alone 2. They do not name the developer, a release date or a platform, and their descriptions contradict each other. They are not made by Eternity.

The real game is sold on Steam for Windows and is Steam Deck Verified. Its Steam app ID is 3981100, and the developer and publisher are both Eternity. Buy and update it only through Steam.

Custom Mode: The New Game+

Custom Mode is the biggest new feature after the maps. It unlocks once you finish a map in Story Mode. You can set your starting money, adjust the income multiplier and choose your starting tools.

You can also unlock all tool upgrades and open all areas from the start. Changed settings switch off achievements, but default settings with Ranked enabled still count. Ranked Custom runs also skip cutscenes and let you restart from the pause menu.

The Castle Map

Castle is built around small activities between the leaf clean-up. The developers called them little breathers where you put the rake down for a minute. They include a crossbow range, petal sorting, a memory game, a sliding puzzle, books and mosaics.

Castle has 18 achievements and eight playing cards to find. Its story runs from the Gate to the Throne Room. See the royal deck guide for its cards.

The Sakura Map

Sakura is a park and temple map with its own 18 achievements. It adds a mini tractor you can buy and fully upgrade. The leaf blower gains a Suction Mode for sucking up leaves.

Sakura also hides eight battle cards, 12 leaf bags and 12 lanterns. Its story ends at the ancient tree, where you grab an acorn. None of its story unlocks are missable.

Performance and Quality-of-Life

The update also focused on smoother play. The developers reworked the leaf physics so far-away leaves update less often, raising framerates. They said blowing all the Greenhouse leaves through the Maze no longer scares them.

Initial loading was also sped up. The map gained markers for leaf inlets and trash bins, and cleaned areas are now coloured. New accessibility options include an input toggle for tools and abilities.

Who Makes Leaf it Alone

Leaf it Alone is made by Eternity, a small independent team. In the release date devlog, the developers said there is no publisher or big corporation behind the game. They described themselves as a team that only formed the year before.

That small size explains why the update took months of devlogs. It also means any future project would be announced on their official channels first. Follow the Steam news page and the official Discord for real news.

The Original Game at a Glance

Leaf it Alone launched on Steam on October 30, 2025, made and published by Eternity. The trailer called it a relaxing two to three hour leaf-cleaning sim with over 100,000 leaves. Update 1.1 grew that to about 500,000 leaves across three maps.

Its Steam reviews are Very Positive, with 94% of English reviews positive. The base price is $5.99. It supports English and 12 more languages.

Leaf it Alone 2 FAQ

Do I need to buy anything for the new maps? No, Update 1.1 is completely free for everyone who owns the game. Old saves remain compatible. Just update through Steam.

Will there be more maps later? The developers have not announced anything beyond 1.1. They said they may add more Custom Mode options down the line. Follow the official Steam news page for announcements.

What to Play Now

If you finished the original map, Castle and Sakura are the closest thing to a sequel. Castle adds mini-games like a crossbow range, puzzles and mosaics. Sakura adds a mini tractor and a suction mode for the blower.

Start with the area unlock guide for both maps. Then hunt the new sets with the card locations guide. For other games in the same style, see games like Leaf it Alone.
