Leaf it Alone Card Locations (All Maps)

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Here are all 24 card locations in Leaf it Alone: 8 mysterious photos on the Hometown map, 8 playing cards in Castle and 8 battle cards in Sakura. Each set unlocks its own achievement: Say Leaf!, Poker Hand and Gotta Find 'em All. Use the tables below in order, since some cards only appear once you unlock their area.

Hometown: All 8 Photo (Card) Locations

The original map's cards are officially called mysterious photos. Three are available from the start, three after the garage, one after the Grill and one after the Greenhouse. Collecting all eight unlocks Say Leaf!.

#AreaExact spotAvailable
1ShedLeft wall inside the shed, on the pinboard (bottom corner)From the start
2PorchOn the porch railing, near the corner facing the trash canFrom the start
3CourtBehind the basketball backboard: stand in the corner and look upFrom the start
4GarageOn the ground by the right wall, just inside the doorAfter the garage
5SwingsOn top of the electrical box on the garage wall, left of the back doorAfter the garage
6BasementShelf on the left as you enter, next to a big wine bottleAfter the garage
7GrillTurn left on entering: on the foundation right of the house doorAfter the Grill
8GreenhouseInside the scarecrow's coatAfter the Greenhouse

The two most missed are the Court photo, which needs you to look up behind the backboard, and the Greenhouse photo inside the scarecrow's coat. The Swings photo sits high on the power box, so look up after leaving the garage. The basement photo is right next to the vent to the secret room.

Castle: All 8 Playing Card Locations

Castle's playing cards are spread through the rooms in roughly the order you unlock them. Collecting all eight unlocks Poker Hand and counts toward Castle Conquered. The locations below combine a Steam guide, a Destructoid guide and a full video run.

#Castle areaExact spot
1ShopUnder the bottom shelf of the cabinet
2FrescoBehind the shield next to the squirrel statue
3Dining Room (Dinette)At the exit just before the Stairs
4RuinsOn the castle wall, on one of the battlements
5TerraceOn one of the battlements (merlons)
6Garden of LoveOn the beams in the middle
7Leaf GardenOn a ledge of one of the columns
8Throne RoomOn the threshold as you enter

Two cards sit on the battlements, so scan the castle walls from the Dining Room and the Terrace. The Fresco card hides behind the shield of the big squirrel statue. The last card is on the Throne Room threshold, so you pick it up as you walk in.

Sakura: All 8 Battle Card Locations

Sakura's battle cards are scattered through the gardens, the temple and the park areas. Collecting all eight unlocks Gotta Find 'em All and counts toward Like a Monk. The areas below match both a written guide and a full video playthrough.

1GardenRight side of the stairs
2TempleInside the railing
3Dog RunUnder the dog tunnel
4Open-air areaAt the base of a wooden stand
5PlaygroundBelow the stairs
6LanternsTucked on a tree
7RecreationOn a lamp
8PicnicUnder a tree

Many Sakura cards sit low, under trees or at the base of objects. The Dog Run card is under the dog tunnel, which is easy to walk past. The Lanterns card is tucked on a tree rather than on the ground.

When Each Card Becomes Available

You cannot collect every card in one sweep, because areas unlock as you clean. On Hometown, the Greenhouse photo needs a fully cleaned Pool first. In Castle, the Throne Room card comes last, after the Love Garden and Leaf Garden.

A good habit is to grab each card the moment its area opens. That way you only revisit areas for the odd card you missed. The journal counter tells you how many are still out there.

Tips to Find Every Card

Clear the leaves around a spot before searching, since piles can cover a card. Look up at beams, battlements and boxes, and down under shelves and trees. Many players miss cards simply because they are above eye level.

If you are stuck at 7/8, compare the table with your journal to see which area is missing. On Hometown that is usually the scarecrow or the Court backboard. In Castle, re-check the battlements from both the Ruins and the Terrace.

Castle Room Unlock Order

Castle rooms open as you clean, so the cards arrive in roughly this order. Clean the Gate to reach the Courtyard, then the Stairs to reach the Hallway. The Fresco opens the Dinette and the Terrace opens the Love Garden.

The Throne Room opens last, after both the Love Garden and Leaf Garden are clean. One guide warns not to enter the red-carpet room after collecting the key items from both gardens until your missable achievements are done. Grab every other card before that point.

Sakura Area Unlock Order

Sakura starts at the Statues, which open the Temple. The Temple opens the Lanterns and the Shrines. The Playground or Garden opens the Park, and the Open-air area opens the Dog Run.

Cleaning the Dog Run opens the Ancient Tree, the last story area. Grabbing the acorn there finishes Sakura's story. None of Sakura's story unlocks are missable, so the cards can be collected in any order.

Hometown Unlocks for the Photos

Three Hometown photos need the garage, which you open with the button in the shed. Hold it until the TV shows the door fully open, then sprint inside. That gives you the Garage, Swings and Basement photos.

The Grill photo needs a fully cleaned Shed area, which gives the Grill key. The Greenhouse photo needs a fully cleaned Pool, including its rim and loungers. See the area unlock guide for every step.

Card Achievements

Each full set unlocks one achievement, and each one also feeds a complete-all-objectives achievement. Say Leaf! is held by 41.5% of Steam players. The Castle and Sakura achievements are newer and much rarer for now.

  • Say Leaf!: all 8 mysterious photos, part of Perfectionist.
  • Poker Hand: all 8 playing cards, part of Castle Conquered.
  • Gotta Find 'em All: all 8 battle cards, part of Like a Monk.

For the full set breakdown, see Leaf it Alone cards. For every other achievement, see the achievements guide. Cards give no money or upgrades, only the achievement and objective.
