Leaf it Alone Sliding Puzzle Guide

Last updated: November 2, 2026

The sliding puzzle is a Castle mini-game that opens after you clean the Labyrinth, and solving it unlocks A Little to the Right. The tile layout changes on each reset, so there is no fixed move list. Solve it row by row from the top, then finish the last two rows column by column (9 and 13 first, then 10 and 14).

Where the Sliding Puzzle Is

The puzzle belongs to the Castle map added in update 1.1 on October 30, 2026. It becomes usable once the Labyrinth area is fully cleaned. You will pass it naturally while following the Royal Deck card route.

It is one of several Castle activities the developers described as short breathers from raking. The others are the crossbow, petal sorting, the memory game, books and mosaics. Each one ties to its own achievement.

Row-by-Row Method

The board uses numbered tiles with one empty slot, like a classic 15-puzzle. Never try to solve every tile at once. Lock in finished rows and do not touch them again.

  • Place tiles 1 and 2 in the top row as normal.
  • Park tile 4 under the slot where 3 belongs, put 3 in the corner, then slide 4 in beside it.
  • Repeat the same corner trick for the second row (5 to 8).
  • For the last two rows, work by column: put 9 and 13 into the left column together.
  • Next pair 10 and 14, then 11 and 15, and the board finishes itself.

The corner trick matters because the last tile of a row cannot be pushed straight in. Parking it one slot below lets you rotate both tiles into place. The same idea works for each column pair at the bottom.

If You Get Stuck

If two tiles end up swapped at the very end, undo the last column and pair them again. Reset the puzzle if the board becomes messy, since a new layout may be easier. The achievement only cares that you finish, not how many moves you take.

Online sliding puzzle solvers can also help if you type in your layout. Enter the numbers in the same order you see them in game. Then copy the moves one by one.

A Little to the Right and Like a King

Finishing the puzzle unlocks A Little to the Right, one of Castle's 18 achievements. It also counts toward Castle's complete-all-objectives goal in the journal. Pair it with No Peeking! from the memory game while you are nearby.

Some guides warn not to enter the red-carpet room too early once you hold the key items from both gardens. Clear missable Castle activities first. The full list is on our achievements page.
